The Indianapolis Sister Cities Teacher and Student Outreach Committee (TASOC) offers Marion County teachers professional development and networking needed for internationalizing their classrooms and school communities. It serves to disseminate information about ways in which educators and their students can participate in activities and school connections through the nine Indianapolis Sister Cities Committees. The TASOC has offered opportunities for Marion County youth to participate in an international art and authors competition and community service. New for 2022 we will offer a student travel scholarship for students planning to travel to an Indianapolis Sister City. More information will be available January, 2022.
Indianapolis Sister Cities strives to connect globally through education. The Teacher and Student Outreach Committee has ongoing and new initiatives that uphold and expand our vision to give youth the best opportunity to thrive in the new global world.
